The study aims at desiging, manufacturing and tesing the two-coil coconuts shelling machine for improving productivity, reducing shcar in the shell during peeling. Design results have determined the opcrating paramcters of the machine with a capacity of 400 coconuts per hour. Based on the results, the two-coil coconuts shelling machine was manufactured.
The results of the calculation have determined the parameters of the machine. The shaft diameter of 110 mm, height of the positioning ,mechanism of 85 mm revolution of shelling shafts is 39 RPM, number of thorn on the shaft are 54 thorns, the thorn height of 30 mm, the motor power of 2.2 kW. The height of the positioning mechanism and the number of revolution are paramcters which are able to adjust.
The testing results showed that it fits with the caculation results. When changing the height of the positioning mechanism from 50 to 110 mm, revolution of shafts from 30 to 50 mm preiminarity determined the highest eapacity at 373 coconuts per hour at the height of positioning mechanism is 85 mm and the revolution of shafts is 39 rpm. The coconuts after peeling ief the shell remaining 7.86%.
